Checkpoint 2: Subtitles
Download the File for Microsoft Word
Due 10-13 - 10/14: Print script.
Script Rubric
1. Script must printed with name and period number at top.
2. Should have 3+ vocabulary words.
3. Explanation of the meaning of vocab into laymen’s terms
4. Something is demonstrated or taught—what experiment was used? How did they make the discovery? What is an example?
5. Script is entertaining: has a joke or inspirational story
6. Spelling and Grammar is checked in Microsoft Word.
7. The Scientist’s name is next to what he or she says
8. The Interviewer’s first name is next to what he or she says
9. No plagiarism. Quotes must be around words that are quotations from any source that is not the student, followed by (source) or an in-text reference. It is not enough to reference your source at the end alone. Or simply write the research in your own words, aka paraphrase.
Script should be 1 minute’s worth of filming at least.
** Script grade can be fixed by adding more writing to subtitles, adding words or images in Premiere that contain vocab or explanations, or other Post-Production fixes.
