INTERMEDIATE
Middle School & High School Students
Learn: Javascript
This workshop is perfect for students who have done little bit of programming with robots, Alice, Scratch or the like, but have not spent much time with C/C++/Java. While students may be okay to start here without any prior programming experience, all freshers are strongly encouraged to complete the Alice camp first. Our friendly environment comes with a powerful graphics library that minimizes coding effort. Instant drawing output keeps enthusiasm up, and students will get used to dealing with syntax errors in a friendly way.
July 5-8, 9 am to 4 pm daily at UTSA Main Campus
Early bird price: $300

Learn: Game Development
You don't have to already know how to design your own games, just some programming
experience and enthusiasm for learning. We will use GameMaker software in this camp. The curriculum is designed for a high school student who has not necessarily programmed
much before.
July 25-29, 9 am to 4 pm daily at St. Mary's University
Early bird price: $300
Learn: C Programming with Advanced Math
Applications are now open for this selective, week-long summer intensive for
programmers and mathematically talented upper middle and high school students held at
St. Mary's University. Students must have completed Algebra 1 with at least a B.

Learn: Java
Students should be familiar with programming before taking this workshop. It's not a great language for your first programming experience. Try Alice and Javascript first. Students should already have mastered the basic programming concepts and done some free-form coding - it will make assimilating Java a bit easier.
This workshop will cover the following concepts using hands-on activities:
* Java fundamentals
* If and switch statements
* Loops
* Static methods
* Arrays
* Introduction to object oriented programming
